El Diablo (The Devil): The Good Ol' Boys Spin Off - Frank M. Robinson

I love a good alpha, dominating, anti-hero & this book did not disappoint! This was the first book I've read by this author & I have to say, I was really impressed. I loved how the storyline started off when Alejandro Martinez was a teenager & progressed to where he is now. As a feared crime boss. The author did a great job showing how Martinez is who is, why he is that way & the events that made him into El Diablo. Not only was this story well written, it was sexy as hell! I also loved Lexi. She was a spitfire, really held her own & did not back down. Especially against Martinez. I have to say, who Lexi is threw me for a loop. I thought I had it figured out but, nope! The author did a great job with that little twist! This book is an amazing book, sexy AF & well written. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Author Anonymous: A True Story - Adept Edits, L.E. Blair, Anonymous

WOW......I really don't know how to review this book. Honestly, this is a book you just need to read & experience for yourself. It's that good & it's hard to believe that it's a true story.

Tapping the Billionaire (Bad Boy Billionaires Book 1) - Max Monroe

I keep going back & forth on how I feel about this book. I liked it & really enjoyed reading it but, it didn't grab me & consume me like I hoped it would. I did at time find it really funny where I actually laughed out loud. I also really liked the characters. I loved Kline & Georgia. I loved them together & really loved their banter. I thought that Georgia could really hold her own. She wasn't the shy virginal, self doubting, doesn't think she's good enough for the hot billionaire type of woman. She was opinionated, spoke her mind, smart, was a sexually experienced virgin & is loyal to her friends & family. Kline also isn't your typical billionaire. He's not an alpha dominating guy who flaunts his wealth. He's sweet (almost too sweet for my liking), humble & like Georgia he's loyal to his friends & family. I also loved all of the secondary characters (especially Georgia's friend Cassie). I was starting to get a little bored with the book towards the end. I just couldn't understand why Georgia got SO mad at Kline. To the point of breaking up with him. I felt it was hypocritical of her & Kline just sorta pussied out on her about the whole situation. I was hoping he would've at least reached out to her for the 2 weeks they were broken up. I'm thankful their tiff only lasted a few chapters. That did not ruin the book for me though. I still enjoyed these 2 & the story. It was a really sweet, contemporary book. The writing was great & witty. I'm actually looking forward to reading Cassie & Thatch's book. Although, if you're looking for a dirty (in all the right ways) alpha male book, this is not it.

The Best Part of Me (McKenna Series Book 1) - Jamie Hollins

I had a really hard time with this book. When a book takes place right where I live I have extremely high expectations. I always love reading a book when it takes place in Boston or one of the surrounding towns. Now, if you're not from Boston & you're not familiar with the surrounding towns, the landmarks or even how the towns communities are, then you won't have an issue with what I have issues with. If you're from Boston or one of the towns right outside (especially south of Boston), you may have issues like I did.

Issue 1: the author mentioned that Ewan, the books 'hero' was raised in Ballagh (we'll talk about that town in a bit) since age 9, which is a town right next to Boston. The author mentioned that Ewan talks with an Irish brogue accent. Shouldn't he have a Boston accent if that's where he grew up?

Issue 2: The name of the town. That's what really irked me throughout this whole book. The town Ballagh was a spitting image of another town named Quincy. The author used the proper names of other surrounding towns & landmarks. Why did she change the name of the town this book takes place in? I actually googled the name of the town & it is a real town...in Ireland. Ballagh is a predominantly Irish community & Ewan runs an Irish pub there. The real town Ballagh is copied after is also a predominantly Irish community town with lots of Irish pubs (I've been to a few of them). I just don't understand why the author kept everything else the same but changed the name of the town.

Issue3: I wasn't a huge fan of the characters. I thought they were one dimensional & flat. Ewan used to be an enforcer for some mob family but, he's not alpha at all. There was really nothing to him. Same with Quinn the 'heroine.' I found her to be slightly boring. There wasn't really anything to her. Yeah she had a huge family tragedy but, that was almost glossed over.

This book had so much potential to be wicked awesome. Especially Ewan. He could've been this big, bad, alpha dominant male but sadly, he was just sad. I skimmed a lot of this book & skimmed over the sex. Why? Because it wasn't hot or sexy. Like I said this book was a struggle to get through. The storyline was boring as was the characters.

Pull Me Close: The Panic Series - Sidney Halston

As someone who suffers from severe anxiety, I've never felt more in tune with a heroine. I felt every single emotion she was feeling & I could relate to some of her fears. I couldn't put this book down I was so engrossed in it.
Katherine suffers from paralyzing anxiety & PTSD over some traumatic trauma that happened in her past. She decides though that she can handle going to her sisters engagement party at a popular night club. Even though she never leaves the confines of her apartment. She ends up having a really bad panic attack & blacks out while there. The owner Nico thinks she's just another junkie & wants her out of his club. Except where she's passed out, Nico drives her home.
Katherine doesn't like the fact that Nico thinks she's a junkie. She works up the courage to go back to his club during the day to explain to him that she suffers from anxiety & PTSD. Nick is jaded though & doesn't really believe her due to things that's happened to him in the past. Once she leaves his office he researches what PTSD is & sees that it has similar side effects as a drug user. So he takes what she says at face value & starts a friendship with her. A friendship that'll eventually lead to more & also lead to healing for the both of them.
This was a book I didn't know I needed to read. I felt like to a certain extent I could be Katherine. This was so thoughtfully & mindfully written. It was also a very sexy book. Nico is a total alpha male & he's so very swoony! Even though Katherine suffers from severe anxiety, it doesn't make her weak. She's so strong & courageous. With the help of Nico she learns to face her fears. This book is so good & is a must read.

Running with the Devil: Plantain Series Book One (Volume 1) - Hannah Amelia Noyes Davidson Oliver Goldsmith

This is one of the best books I've read! It's such a beautiful story from the cover to the story & It was exceptionally written. This is a debut novel from this author & it is exquisite. When I bought it I didn't know to much about it except for the occasional teaser I saw on IG. I knew though this was a book I had to read. It's one of those books that you won't forget about. The 2 main characters Maven & Dornan are sexy, raw, strong willed & unapologetic. They grew up together in the MC lifestyle & have been best friends their whole lives. Something click with Maven & now she's starting to see Dornan as more than a friend when, he's always seen her as more. Maven is the VP of the MC since her father is in jail & he wants to keep his bloodline in the club. She is tough as nails though & can hold her own with the guys. Things happen though to Maven which causes a spiral of other things to happen. Yes, I'm being vague because I don't want to give anything away. I really believe that everyone needs to read this book. It's such a beautiful love story with wicked, wicked hot sex in their. It's hard to believe that this is a debut novel from a first time author. I can't wait to read more in this series!

Dragonmark: A Dark-Hunter Novel (Dark-Hunter Novels) - Sherrilyn Kenyon

I love the Dark Hunter series & with about 27 or so books in the series you're most likely not going to love or like every book. This book felt extremely rushed, was a bit confusing at times & we didn't even get that much on main character Illarion. I don't remember Dragonbane (the last book in this series) very well, but from what I've seen on other sites, this book was basically Dragonbane word for word with a few extra chapters of Illarion. I'm still waiting on Nicks book.

Sweetest Taboo (Stark International) - J. Kenner

I'm shelving this book for now. Maybe one day I'll go back to finish it but, right now I'm really struggling with not wanting to finish it. Especially since I've put it aside for a few days & I have no desire to want to return to it. It may be too taboo for me. I'm having a wicked hard time getting past how Dallas calls his adoptive sister 'sister' when talking to her or about her to others, even though their in love with each other. I also don't like how Jane calls Dallas her brother (even though they're not blood related but, they grew up as adoptive siblings so they're siblings). I also can't stand how Jane calls her adoptive father daddy (I still consider him her dad because he raised her & her sperm donor of a father is a real asshole) when talking to him & about him to Dallas. J. Kenner has been one of my go to favorite authors. Her Stark trilogy is one of my favorite book series. Lately though, with her last few series I haven't been able to get through them or just barely got through them.

The Fractured Heart - Scarlett Cole

I am devouring this series right now. It's a fast paced book with a good storyline & well rounded characters. The hero Brody 'Cujo' is a sweet, swoony, sexy alpha male who's a tattoo artist & the heroine Drea is a strong, independent woman. They've both been through life altering events in their lives. They not only use what they've been through to lean on one another but, to also help one another. Although, they initially didn't start off liking one another. In fact, they annoyed the hell out of one another in the beginning & pre-judged one another. This book had just the right amount of everything. The right amount of sex & the right amount of drama & there was no unnecessary filler. So, if you're in the mood for a fun, sweet, sexy series then this is it!

STROKED (The Stroked Series Book 1) - Meghan Quinn

Nope. This book wasn't for me. The horrendous character Bellini ruined this book for me. There was no need for her pov in this book. It didn't enhance this story in any way. I got whiplash from all 3 pov. Sometimes multiple pov works in a book but, it didn't work in this one. I didn't find Bellini funny & I think she was supposed to be. She was so annoying. The main characters Paisley & Reese were ok. They were very one dimensional though. I almost flounced this book but, I just skimmed the last 65%. The whole story was very predictable.

Dragonfly in Amber - Diana Gabaldon

UGH....it's taken me just over 4 months to read this book. I really struggled with it. It was boring & way to wordy. I have to say, I like the show better.

The Strongest Steel (Second Circle Tattoos) - Scarlett Cole

I almost didn't read this book but holy crap I'm so glad I did! It was sweet, sexy, swoony, emotional & hot as hell! I loved everything about this book! The writing was awesome, the storyline was excellent & it was fast paced. I feel like with this type of book it can get caught up in the angst & the drama between main characters. Not here though. The author gave us just the right amount so we wouldn't get bored (for lack of a better word) & she kept the story moving. The main characters were also extremely likable! I loved the hero Trent & how he was patient with Harper with everything that she's been through & endured. Harper was also an amazing heroine. Sometimes the heroines play the victim or the why me when they've gone through trauma but, Harper didn't. She was strong & Trent showed her that life was worth living. Also, The sexual chemistry with these 2 were off the freaking charts! I can't wait to read the next book!

Deep Redemption (Hades Hangmen Book 4) - Tillie Cole

If you haven't read a Tillie Cole book, then you're missing out!

Inseverable: A Carolina Beach Novel (Volume 1) - Cecy Robson

I have some mixed feelings on this book. It wasn't my favorite by this author. I found it to just be ok. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. You know how you read a book & it's just ok & you don't have much to say on it, that's this book for me.

Tailored for Trouble: A Romantic Comedy (Happy Pants) - Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

I don't even know where to start. This book was just so much better than I expected. I wish I could read it again & experience it for the first time again. I loved this book so much that I'm finding it hard to even write a review on it because nothing I say will do this book justice. It was sweet, sexy, laugh out loud funny & had an amazing storyline. I was so engrossed with the story & these characters, that I felt like I was right there in the story with them. That's how you know a book is well written. There are some books you read and a few days (or weeks) later you may forget the characters or story. It happens. Not with this book. This is one of those books that's unforgettable. The characters will stick with you & the world they live in stays with you so you're wanting more.

Here's a quick overview on the story. Taylor "quit" her job for sticking up for her boss after Mr. Bennett Wade made some rude comments. Taylor has a mouth like a sailor (my kind of girl) & will call you out on your shit. Especially if you're a multi billionaire CEO. Since Taylor doesn't have a job now, she starts her own company. Bennett Wade is a cocky bastard but, he needs to hire Taylor to help him with a project. That's all I'm going to say because I don't want to give to much away. You'll just have to read the book. Which I promise you'll love!
This book was wicked sexy as all hell! At the same time super sweet & takes you on a ride you don't want to get off of. This was the first book I've read by this author & I guarantee it will not be the last. In fact, I very well may download all her books tonight (or early morning since its 1:42 am & I literally just finished this book!)

Ravage: A Scarred Souls Novel - Tillie Cole

5+ stars! I absolutely love this series & this book was just amazing. Tillie Cole is a master wordsmith & she knows how to write not only a beautiful story but, these most amazing alpha anti heroes & strong heroines. She has recently become one of my go to authors.
